Battle of Glen Shiel (About)

Fought on June 10, 1719, the Battle of Glen Shiel was part of the Jacobite
Risings in Scotland. Marching with Spanish aid, Scots under Lord George Murray
attempted to move east to capture Inverness. Encountering British troops at
Glen Shiel, the Scots were defeated and their Spanish allies forced to
surrender.
